Dubendorf military airfield open for World Economic Forum

With the trial run that took place in 2015 for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, the Dubendorf former military airfield opens its runway again exceptionally for VIPs attending the WEF, meaning that the airport will provide the option of clearing customs there (if applicable).

Even though the Dubendorf airport is only located 10km away from the Zurich airport, it is the perfect alternative for private jets coming to Switzerland for the event, considering it is a lot less busy than Zurich. The private jet passengers have easy access from the military airfield to helicopter transfers to Davos, the actual venue of the WEF.

It is said that the opening of the airbase for the event is just a coverup of turning the airfield into a fully functional commercial airport with international connection in the future.

For more information or to book your private jet to Dubendorf for the 2016 World Economic Forum in Davos please do not hesitate to contact the LunaJets expert team on +41 22 782 12 12 or email us at lunajets@lunajets.com.  This is also applicable for transatlantic flights to the WEF, New York or Chicago for example.
