The Story of LunaJets

Founded in December 2007 by current CEO Eymeric Segard, LunaJets is the European market leader in private jet charter services, headquartered in Geneva with offices in London, Paris, Dubai, Zurich, Madrid, Riga and Monaco. The company delivers a bespoke and flexible offering, guaranteeing to provide the most competitive prices in the market. LunaJets is part of the Luna Aviation Group which includes other brands such as LunaSolutions specialising in aircraft Sales and Acquisitions, LunaGroup Charter for larger groups of passengers and LunaLogistik specialising in cargo and emergency charters.

2024

LunaJets earned its fifth ARGUS certification, maintaining its status as the first European Certified Charter Broker in the ARGUS Ratings Program since 2015.

Strengthening our management team:
• Guillaume Launay appointed Group Managing Director.
• Eriks Ziverts becomes Global Head of Sales and Managing Director of Riga.
• Raphael Heydemann promoted to Head of Special Operations.

Emergency charter flights evacuation out of Kabul end-of-August.
Strong activity for our new Paris-based LunaGroup Charter division, led by Remi Aubin.
Strong activity and sales & acquisitions deals for LunaSolutions.
Award of Young Person of The Year by the Aircraft Charter Association, for our very own Geneva-based agent Tomás Nicolau.
Bilan award, for the 4th year in a row, of Best Employer (SME) in Switzerland.

2020

Launch of Luna Logistik, dedicated service to the transportation of cargo of all types, anywhere in the world.
Launch of LunaJets Paris office, with a team of expert advisors to serve one-to-one all our France-based clients.
Launch of Luna Charter Group, a specialised service to charter aircraft that will transport groups starting from 20 passengers up to 300. This department complements all other services offered by LunaJets, making it the only one-stop-shop for all aircraft charter and consultancy company in Europe.
LunaJets wins for the 3rd year in a row Best Employer of the Year by economic magazine BILAN.

2019

Relaunch of LunaJets' website, using the latest cloud-based software.
Launch of Luna Solutions, dedicated service to offer consultancy services to clients for the buying and selling of aircraft.
LunaJets wins for the 2nd year in a row Best Employer of the Year by economic magazine BILAN.
  • 50 employees.

  • 6,000 flights sold.

2018

LunaJets becomes the largest independent private jet booking platform in Continental Europe, and the fastest growing in Europe with sales of CHF 60M.
LunaJets wins Best Employer of the Year by economic magazine BILAN.
  • 45 employees based in Geneva and more than ten additional Agents on-site, at the most sought-after summer, winter and key destinations.

  • 5,000 flights sold.

2017

  • New office in Poland.

  • Headquarters more than double their office space (550m2).

  • 40 employees.

LunaJets earns the prestigious ARGUS certification, the industry’s most respected symbol for excellence, becoming the first European Certified Charter Broker to qualify for the Aviation Research Group US (ARGUS) Ratings Program.

  • Headquarter offices grow to 260m2.

2014

Intensive IT developments allow to visualize live empty leg flights on LunaJets' online platform: V4.

Investments in technology increase to upgrade interface: V2 of the mobile app and V3 of the website.
  • New office in London.

  • LunaJets moves its headquarters to a contemporary office building near Geneva Airport.

  • Ten employees.

2010

Launch of the first mobile app in the European private jet charter market: V1.
  • New office opens in Hungary.

2009

Launch a new LunaJets' website for on-demand private jet charter flights: high-tech, full-service and low commissions.

2008

Official operational launch of LunaJets at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2008) in Geneva.

Apr.April

First IT director joins Eymeric and develops the online booking platform.

The company counts one employee working in an office container near the private jet terminal of Geneva Airport.

While working at WPP's Ogilvy & Mather in Mexico as Vice-President Client Services, Eymeric raises $1M to start building LunaJets' online platform, to disturb the private jet charter market.
